Pia Dähn, Fresenius Medical Care GmbH

Occupation: Exempt works council member

About me
Honorary positions: since 2018 exempt works councillor, since 2020 honorary judge at the Labour Court of Frankfurt am Main as well as trade union shop steward and chairwoman of the shop steward board of the IGBCE at Fresenius in Bad Homburg
Languages: German and English
Hobbies: Dancing, hiking, swimming, cycling, reading, delicious cooking, baking and eating

My Motivation

Our working world must become fairer and more social. That’s why I’ve been involved for years not only as a works councillor, but also as a volunteer in the trade union and at the labour court. Job security, healthy working conditions, comprehensible classification of our collectively agreed salaries, fair and transparent extra-formal remuneration models are particularly important to me. Our new works council must communicate more and more openly with our colleagues.

Yvonne Todorovic, Fresenius Medical Care GmbH

Occupation: Human Resources Clerk

About me
Honorary positions: Member of the IGBCE shop stewards at the Bad Homburg site
My Motto: “If you don’t change anything, nothing will change!” (Sparkey Anderson, American Baseball Player and Manager)
Languages: German

My Motivation

I have been a member of the IGBCE trade union since 1994 because I am convinced that I can achieve little as an individual worker, but a lot as a member of a strong union. Since autumn 2020,
I have been involved as a member of IGBCE’s representative body at the Bad Homburg site for my unionised colleagues by informing them about current issues, pointing them to trade union events and, of course, promoting the union.

Since 2022, I have been a full member of the Bad Homburg site works council as well as a member of the works committee, so I already have some experience with regard to the tasks, processes and opportunities of works council work. Due to my approximately 25 years of work in the field of human resources, I also have in-depth knowledge and experience in employment law, which I would like to continue to contribute to the work of the works council. I would also like to look forward to the deconsiliation as a member of the works council for the colleagues of the FME and negotiate on an equal footing with the employer: for secure jobs and good working conditions, against job cuts, work intensification and excessive demands, for justice, open communication and fair cooperation. As a member of the IGBCE trade union list, I know that I can count on the competent support of the IGBCE in the complex tasks ahead of us.

Kristina Vinzing, Fresenius Medical Care AG

Occupation: Team Assistant Global Trade Governance & Operations
Join Date: 15.01.2020

About me:
Honorary positions: Works council member and trade union shop steward since 2022 and KAAT ambassador since 2023; KAAT means commercial employees not covered by collective bargaining agreements and can be viewed under https://www.kaat.net.
Languages: German, English, Russian for beginners

My Motivation

I have been a member of the works council since 2022 and I am committed to ensuring that the performance of the respective colleagues counts and not the nose factor. With my work as a works councillor, I would like to contribute to improving communication in the company between management and employees.
Furthermore, my goals for the next term of office are to commit myself to the correct classification of employees covered by collective bargaining agreements and to be the contact person for employees not covered by collective bargaining agreements. To this end, I have already become a KAAT ambassador for the IGBCE, which is committed to academics and Non-tariff employees under this heading, and at Fresenius Medical Care, together with my colleagues Mario Capurro and Pia Daehn, I have organized and conducted events for Non-tariff employees on various topics. I am committed to the establishment of a separate collective bargaining committee in the company in order to achieve competitive and fair pay for all colleagues. In addition, I would like to become active in the General Works Council and in the newly founded European Works Council.

My Motivation

Standing up for the interests of colleagues plays a major role in the decision to join the works council. Even as a non-active member. I would like to join the works council to increase transparency between the works council and employees and to ensure that all employees are well informed. So far, the technical service has not been represented in the works council – I would like to act as a mouthpiece for all colleagues who feel that they have not been taken into account.

My Motivation

After a few years with the company, I notice injustices at one point or another that need to be addressed. The deconsolidation of Fresenius Medical Care GmbH causes me a lot of uncertainty and I am sure that some things will change negatively for us employees. Now that a new works council is being formed, this is the perfect opportunity for me to actively participate in shaping our working conditions. Working in the works council is a wonderful opportunity to try something new.

My Motivation

I have always appreciated the support of the works council and the trade union. The restructuring within the framework of the FME25 project has shown me once again that it takes a strong partner with know-how and expertise at your side in order to be able to meet the employer on an equal footing.
I would like to use the new elections of the works council to actively participate in the realignment of the company and to know that the interests of the employees are well represented in the process.

My Motivation

For Fresenius Medical Care, a new chapter in its impressive company history begins, which will be marked by major changes. I would like to play a constructive role in shaping this exciting phase of our company. I am convinced that FMC can only be successful in the long term if cohesion within the workforce, but also between senior management and the workforce, is guaranteed. I would like to contribute to this with the help of the contacts I have gained over many years at all levels of the company. Lack of transparency and arbitrariness, especially in the academic and/or non-collective bargaining area, have been causing many employees to despair for years. Sincerity and reliability must once again be the basis of our daily actions. The same applies to the courage to speak plainly instead of remaining silent.
